The dress is out of the shop. The band is paid for. Photography and Video deposits are done. I have chosen a menu, and....
I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!
I went with one of my BM's today to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and picked up my dress.
The seamstress was wonderful. She understood how difficult these past few weeks had been on my because on the day of the first fitting, my mom had her back surgery.
I had the opportunity to thank the manager of the store and compliment her on how well I was treated and how well my BP and family was treated each and every time we came in. Now the dress is hanging in my mother's house in a bedroom that isnt being used. No pics ladies. You have all seen enough of me in that thing so you'll have to wait until Janna or Hollie post pics from the wedding. But I should tell you that I was able to find a suitable pair of panty hose made by Calvin Klein that will not show seams. It simply does not have a waist band:
On Tuesday, I went to pick up the receipt for the final payment for our band and luckily had the chance to speak with our bandleader. I felt he needed to know how fragile Mom was and that she NOT be jostled around too much. He was very sensitive to our situation and our family and promised me that everything would be perfect.
On Wednesday, we met with our photographer to discuss details and give the deposit due before the wedding. I told him that Mom didnt want too many shots with the wheelchair. He got it.
On Thursday, we chose our menu at the temple. I cannot believe how much food there will be. I also got to see the bridal room completed! I think FH is surprising me with flowers so it should look prettier than in the pic below
On Monday we will meet with the Rabbi to go over the ceremony. I am anxiously waiting to get my programs so we can assemble them.
I am up to only minor details now!!!
