FH got a meeting request, looks like he is getting laid off thursday, I'm absolutely beside myself and have no idea how were going to pay for the rest of the wedding.........as if the drama wasn't enough, how are we going to pay our rent and everything else???

oh . sooooo sorry to hear that. . all I can say is I hope something comes along and know that at this point just try to enjoy the whole wedding and NOT worry about the money. . you are so close now, and hopefully you will get some money back for the wedding too. . just enjoy your day as much as you can. .you are so close

oh no!!! soo sorry to hear this! this country sux... all of us at this age/point in our lives are getting screwed one way or another and im sure if we woulda known what was coming, alot of us would have never had these grand ny style weddings its really depressing... but we'll get through it eventually... its in these hard times where you really see how much stress you can handle and it makes you a stronger person in the long run

I'm sorry, we are having a similar issue but trust that it will all work out! You will get gifts at the wedding, the job market is getting better & the meeting could be something else! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

First thing I would say is TAKE A DEEP BREATH. Then ....is anyone dying? I'm not being flippant. I mean it - it helps you get your bearings. :) RIght now it might seem the world is ending but it isn't. If I were dorky I would say 'When God shuts a door, he opens a window' hehe - but I won't say that. What I will say is this. Stay strong, and don;t panic. Crazy things happen all the time and it will work out.
