The ending of Lost...

So many questions unanswered.

We know who the 'boy' is now that they were looking for.

I WANT ANSWERS darnit!
Some people are saying that it's a government experiment.
(I doubt that)

What does that stairway lead to?
What are those tree-pulling creatures?

I've never watched a show I've been so into yet know so little about. The character development is really good but took a whole season to do.

When do you think we'll find out why they are there?

And the lottery numbers...a little freaky, wondering about those too.

the little boy has 'magical powers' supposedly....remember the episode when he did something funky to a bird?

JJ Abrams (the creator) already stated that they are not all dead or in purgatory. He said he would feel like he cheated his viewers by doing that. The only thing he has said is there is a very normal reason why they are there..you just have to figure it out why.

I love to hate this series!

Yes, SeptWed, I read the same thing. It's nothing supernatural or mystical allegedly. There's a scientific reason for all the island-wonkiness.

I wonder if it's time-travel experiments? Or, there's this branch of theoretical physics that examines gravity and time because they are closely related somehow, maybe it's that. That could explain the tree-pulling Lostzilla?

My DH actually came up with the fact that this is some type of rich guys game of picking these people to be on the island to survive and build there own community (kind of a sick game if you ask me). They have mentioned the board games of Risk, Life, Backgammon, Operation and Connect Four over the first season.

I was thinking that the island is actually a island that has people living on it already but on the other side and the crash survivors don't realize this yet....

I have a feeling they are going to drag the show out too long, ratings will drop & the show will be cancelled suddenly, wioth out a chance for the creators to wrap it up or explain anything.

Yeah, they were hunted in that short story. I think I read SpetWed's post too fast! Building a new community is an interesting twist, but again, if it's all just at the mercy of some frajillionaire and his whims... I think I'd feel cheated.
