THE EXECUTION OF WANDA JEAN ALLEN

I just saw this on HBO and was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

This was the second person this woman has murdered.. I cant believe how surprised the lawyers and the family was that they did not grant her clemency..

Was this the case where there were questions regarding her mental stability? Something where she was borderline mentally retarded?

Yes that was it.. They said when she was like 14 she had an IQ of like 69 but when she was retested it was like 80 something so she was not during the times of BOTH murders..

Yeah, I think I read that 80 is just above 'borderline mental retardation'.

Was the documentary informative or one-sided?

I felt it was very once sided... Like watching this I felt so sorry for her and when she was at her hearing she was begging them ' Let me live' but then while im watching I go on the net and find out that not only was she in prison PRIOR to this arrest for murdering another woman but she murders the current woman (her lover) in front of her mother and previously sent her cards and letters saying Ill kill you if you try to leave me.

Yeah, she was clearly an unstable woman. Shame on the justice system on this one - she was in prison for only FOUR years for the first murder...and then some 10 or 12 years later, she committed the last one. Sad...

Definatly sad... and I thought it was very gracious of the mother of the murdered girl to forgive Wanda jean..

I think sometimes people have to...in order to have some closure and move on. Otherwise, the killer keeps on 'winning' by controlling the lives of the living...if that makes sense.
