The Fountainhead

I am looking to book Fountainhead in Westchester for my reception next December. Has anyone been here or had their wedding here?? Just interested in some feedback before I meet with them next week.

Re: The Fountainhead

I have never been to a wedding there, but I have heard such great things about the fountainhead.

It is beautiful, top notch service and I have not heard a bad thing about the food, from people whom I know have been there.

Re: The Fountainhead

I went to a wedding there in June. Don't know which room you are looking at, but the ballroom was beautiful. If you are having your ceremony there, I remember that the room had a low ceiling and it was cramped. Then everyone had to walk down a narrow staircase to get to the ballroom. But this wedding had about 250 people. I remember the food being pretty good. But keep in mind, they do more than one affair at a time. (not sure if this would bother you) Overall, it was a great wedding.

It looks beautiful online. I am also looking at places in Manhattan, but Fountainhead caught my eye.

Re: The Fountainhead

I went there when I was looking for a hall and it is sooo pretty. And you get a lot for you $. One of my fi's friends is actually getting married there next year. The only reason we didn't book it was because it was far for our family & friends to travel. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

Re: The Fountainhead

I wasn't very impressed with the place. Thecocktail hour room was nice. The man we met with was very rude. Whenever I asked him a question, he would not look at me and then talk to my fiance. I would say, 'How many people do I need to guarantee?' He would say,'Well Joe, I need you to guarantee 200 people.' He acted like I wasn't even there!!

Re: The Fountainhead

It's a beautiful place. I live nearby and strongly considered it. I know quite a few people who had their weddings there and rave about it. Its reallya wonderful choice.

Re: The Fountainhead

We also looked at having our wedding there, but I really wanted it at the Glen Island (same owners) I wasn't too thrilled about the main ballroom at the Fountainhead though. But I loved the cocktail hour room with the skylight.

Re: The Fountainhead

I went to a wedding there last April. I thought the place was really nice and the food was really good. The only drawback was that there were several weddings going on at one time (I think 2 or 3?). Other than that, it was gorgeous.
