I have booked Glenmar for my wedding. My sister used them 2 years ago and they did an awesome job. I felt that they were efficient in getting the posed pictures done so that you could enjoy your day. They are also doing my video.

Oh, thats great news! I booked them to do my May wedding. They are doing my video as well. Did they take any candids?? Who was her photographer?

The photographer was John and he took tons of candids as well as a roll of black and white pictures.

Who did you guys meet with at Glenmar. I went there on the recommendation of this board. I met with Barry and thought he was a complete jerk. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I couldn't believe anyone would do business with them. The limited amount of pictures I saw looked good but I just couldn't get past how obnoxious he was.

I did meet with Barry and also thought he was kind of obnoxious. As I said my sister used them and I was very pleased with the photographer John. I also thought their prices were pretty good but I can totally understand how he put you off.

Unfortunately I agree with Karen. Their photos were absolutely beautiful but I was so put off by my meeting with Barbara that I was also out of there really quick. Very pushy, very obnoxious and very unwilling to let me leave without leaving a deposit - like they were afraid if I left I wouldn't come back (which I didn't!LOL). I was also a little put out by the fact that she told me I wouldn't meet the actual photographer until 2 weeks before the wedding which bothered me because I really think you need to click with the guy you are going to spend the entire day with, so I was uncomfortable with that. But, their photos were beautiful and the place was packed with people picking stuff up, so I'm sure they do great work - many people on here have been very happy with them. Good Luck.

Not to harp but just to show how crazy he is he told me that he would take the engagement shoot photos because at least one thing had to come out right. What type of business man is he? He asked me if I thought he was acting peculiar and I told him yes. However, the pictures I saw were great so if you can deal with the craziness I'm sure you'll be happy.

We also met with Barbara at Glenmar who was incredibly pushy and made us feel rushed into making a decision (unfortunately for them they pushed us to make the decision of not using them!). I really did not like the fact that we could not meet with the specific photographer until two weeks before. The photographer is one of the only vendors whom you spend the ENTIRE day with, so you really should get along with them!! We ended up choosing Creative Compositions---they are incredibly talented and our photographer spent over an hour talking with us and is going to meet with us again in the summer (a few months before the wedding) to do some engagement pictures by the beach to get to know how we all work together....I really like that!! I actually have an appt. to meet with Creative Comp. Which photographer are you using? I have had recommendations on Ernie. Also how where their prices? I heard they are a little pricey?

Actually, our photographer is Ernie! He is incredible! His work is absolutely beautiful and he is very professional and personable! We really clicked with him from the beginning. Their prices are on the higher side, but I think that pictures and video (if you are getting one) are one of the most important things in a wedding. They are the only things from the list of things (flowers, DJ, etc.) that last forever. If you have crappy pictures, then you have nothing to go back to 5, 10, 15 years down the line and look at, or show your children. I know I`m getting way ahead of myself, but I really think that photos/photographers are really, really worth the price! Good luck!
