THE GOSSIP AS IT HAPPENS

The business partnership of Jennifer Lopez and Luis Vuitton has come to an
end. The popular designer franchise used J-Lo for their fall 2003 campaign,
but they have decided not to renew her as their spokesperson. They are still
mad over her behavior when she took tens of thousands dollars worth of
merchandise after a photo shoot. Jennifer has kissed and made up with her
former manager, Benny Medina. He is the man who is credited with making her
a star. Earlier this year Jennifer and Benny had a major falling out and she
fired him as her manager. She later sued him claiming he acted improperly as
her manager. He in turn sued her. Sources say J-Lo dumped Benny to please
her fiancé, Ben Affleck, but since Ben has yet to marry her (who could ever
forget the 'non-wedding' of the year) J-Lo's popularity has taken a turn for
the worse. She may need Benny now to salvage her career. Benny has a new
stable of talent now and it includes J-Lo's rival Mariah Carey as well as
Brandy, Ricky Martin and singer, Maya. Will Benny take J-Lo back? Can he
salvage her career and get her away from Ben Affleck? Will Ben ever marry
J-Lo?

Janet Jackson is also gearing up to give us new music by the start of the
year. Janet has also been tapped to provide the halftime entertainment at
the Super Bowl 2004. Outkast will also be performing. Her romance with
producer Jermaine Dupri is still going strong. She recently gave the
pint-sized producer a large platinum Rolex watch that was covered in
diamonds.

Is Lenny Kravitz using Nicole Kidman? The two have been seriously dating and
she is wearing a ring. Sources say Lenny is not in love with Nicole, but he
realizes being with her raises his profile. Nicole used to be married to Tom
Cruise and Lenny used to be married to Lisa Bonet. Lenny has been spotted
with a Brazilian artist named Isis Arruda and sources say he has been
secretly seeing her for months. I hear the engagement is off and Nicole
recently stated she is not getting married anytime soon. Nicole is very
concerned about Lenny's cheating.

In a recent interview with Time Magazine Oprah Winfrey talked about her
refusal to do the David Letterman Show. Oprah says she has appeared on his
show twice and both times he made her feel uncomfortable. She says she
doesn't like being the butt of his jokes and she does not want to be on his
show again. Oprah says she's not snubbing him and she respects his talent.
She even sent his new baby some gifts when he became a dad. Letterman has
had a long running gag on his show on how Oprah is avoiding him. Oprah says
she would love to have Dave on her show, but Dave says he doesn't want to go
on the show and break down and cry like a little girl. I think the two are
going to appear together next year. The question is on whose show?
