The Great Bridal Expo...

Its today at the Marriot in Times Square.....anyone going?

Any tips for a first time Expo bride???
I've heard they can be pretty suspect with vendors soliciting your info and such, but FH and BM are excited so we are going! I already have tons of info on vendors thanks to you all here on LIW We have our florist (Gina) and our venue, so I guess we are going for the hype of it all.

Just wanted some input from you ladies since you all have so much experience!

Get all the free stuff you can!

Oh and the biggest tip I have.....make address labels, or use return address stickers that you might already have to put on mailing lists. It saves you a ton of time and saves your hand a ton of pain

So bypass the raffles???

I am such a sucka for trying to win things, but lately I've noticed that when you go to showcases and enter the 'free honeymoon' or whatever they are offering, you really just end up winning mailboxes FULL of vendor info!

unless they are holding the raffle THAT night while you are there, I would def bypass it... and give out a fake # if you dont want calls 24/7... or just provide your email... i would make a separate wedding email account bc you'll get tons of mail from them...

On the website it says that you have to be present to win the raffles, BTW.

i went to the one in September and they still call me every week claiming that i won a raffle. it's so annoying. i'm going tonite, but i'm gonna skip all the raffles...

i wish i read this advice before i went to one a couple of days ago!!! but my SIL took over writing my info down, i only did a couple to help her out lol

now i know what to do! thanks!

I agree on the raffles--- it took months of phone calls saying I won a free honeymoon for them to finally stop

And definitely address labels!!!
