ok..so i just had a hair trial today...i was sooooo excited bc i heard great things about the girl. the overall concept of what she did was what i wanted. and it looked nice. but the bump behind my tiara was a little frizzy looking. and my curls fell out right after i left the salon. (although, i am an idiot and flat ironed my hair today when i straightened it for the trial so thats prob why that happened.)
also..i was planning on buying a hair piece that is $200 ($$$ to begin with)..she insisted that i buy a piece from her bc she custom makes them..and said it would be about $300.
plus i already just spent $100 on the trial.
I just made an appt for a trial with my friend's hair girl.
i really dunno what to do...besides refer back to a post i made a few weeks ago that stated...............................I AM GOING TO SHAVE MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

doreen, It looks beautiful.. i think thats a really great look for you.
The only thing i can suggest would be to go back and have it done.. but DO NOT flat iron your hair.. blow dry it but dont go crazy getting it pin straight and dont put product in it.
I have noticed too that if i over blow my hair or flat iron it.. the curls do not stay!
as far as buying one that she makes.. thats BS.. i never heard of them not putting one in because she makes her own.. so she'd rather lose the money to do your hair? crazy in my opinion.
Oh you went to studio V... you could try the place i normally go to.... David Christopher in VS off dogwood Corrine or Andrea.. they are fantastic. I think Andrea used to be friends with the girls from Studio V i think she might have worked there at one point. she used to work at the salon on Wheeler ave near the elem school.

she really is great and so nice ive been going there for years. Corrine has been there a few years now too, she has really done so well... she usually ends up doing my hair!

I think your hair look gorgeous with that style but the curls falling out is unacceptable. Do you think you can tell the girl who did them what happened and see if she can trial you again without a fee? Then you can style it without the straightener and see what happens

That hair style looks great on you Doreen! BUT.... your curls definately should have not fallen out that way my hair is very thick and pin straight and mine did not fall out so I don't think it was all the hair iron's fault. Nonetheless you look so pretty with that style!

The curls came out because you flat ironed your hair. It did not have enough texture to hold the curl.
Before my second trial, I was told to wash my hair the night before, blow it out, but not to flat iron it.

yes..i heard this AFTER THE FACT also! hahah! i heard your hair holds the style best when its a little 'dirty' and not to wash it the day of..to wash it the day before.
and the flat iron was a big 'no no!' oopssss! my baddddd!!!

Saw you were thinking of hair peices....before I got my extensions I used to use them all the time and believe it or not...I got them from Sallys beauty supply!
They really held up great for a long time and they are all human hair....called EURONEXT and are $70 for a complete set (5 rows & 6 singles)....I would look into them before spending so much on one peice!
I loved them so much I wound up getting permenant extensions!
My real hair is very straight and holds nothing....Sabrina from Fresh Face Foward was able to get it to stay perfectly...pics in album! She is going to set my hair the morning of too to ensure perfect curls!
