I stayed at the Hyatt in the executive suite the night before and the night after my wedding and we blocked rooms there...it's a beautiful hotel. In July the blocked room rate was $155/night. The suite rate was $230 I think. The only issue was that if you block rooms there, if you don't end up filling those rooms and they can't book them, you are responsible for the balance Luckily, we did fill the rooms but we were worried for a while....

That suite price is better than i thought, i was expecting it to be more. I dont think I will be blocking any rooms for my guests there though, I think they would prefer to stay near the catering hall in New Hyde Park. Thanks for the info!!

Re: The Hyatt vs Marriott???
Anyone stay in the one bedroom suite there? I was going to book that for our wedding night but wanted to know if it was nice.
We dont need anything too big cause we are just going to pass out until noon the next day anyhow.
Also, the Hyatt has an 'Amour Package' that you can add on. Its includes a welcome gift, breakfast for two, and a late checkout the next day.
