Are you sure b/c I think i've seen it before. I think that my parents and his parents should be on the invite.

As far as i have seen and in almost every example given it basically is saying that you, FH and parents are all contributing. If you dont care then that is fine but if you are trying to specify that only you and FH paid then i would suggest you use the one listed BY BUNNYBEARS:

Sally Smith
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith
and
Joe John
the son of Mr and Mrs. John
request blah blah blah
