The Jack - Edited

The Jack - Edited

is at the vet right now getting neutered. I am so nervous. I started crying a little when I dropped him off (luckily I was outside so no one saw my sadness). Surgery makes me scared

ETA: They just called and he is done already. He is all snipped and did just fine. THANK GOODNESS.

My vet said it is best to neuter/spay em at 5-6 months. I of course delayed till the very end of 6 months. I can't wait to go pick him up!

Awww I'm glad he's OK. Do cats change after that? I know dogs do.

not really. I think it is more traumatic for girls. It is a more intrusive procedure with a longer recovery time. I remember my cairn terrier Wicket was SOOO traumatized when I was a kid. SHe thought she had given birth to one of her squeeky toys, and she wouldn't let anyone near it and carried it around everywhere. It was kind of cute, except for the growling and biting when you went close to her 'baby' thing

I am sure it varies from vet to vet. They told me it would be $170 this morning.

no, he is pretty much totally unaffected. He was hardly even woozy. I thought he was going to be all drugged up and pathetic, but he was just normal Jack.
