The Little Flower Shoppe

The Little Flower Shoppe

Has anyone ever been to a wedding where they used The Little FLower Shoppe (in Lindenhurst)?

My mother insisted I check them out because they are right up the block and have been around forever. I went and they do weddings, but they don't have a portfolio or examples of their work. My father thinks that this is no big deal and that they probably do fabulous work, and that just because someone has pictures, doesn't mean that they will do such great work at another wedding.

Also, the lady said that I shouldn't set up a meeting until after I order the BM dresses...I think that's too late.

So, I was just wondering what you ladies think and if anyone has any experience with them.

I haven't used the Little Flower Shop, however I know that its a house vendor of Chateau La Mer. I don't think they would be recommended by CLM if they didn't do a good job.

She's right about setting up a meeting after you order the BM dresses. Every florist I went to wanted to know what my colors were and what color the bridesmaids would wear. It helps them envision your wedding and they then can recommend flowers......etc. etc.

I checked out the Little Flower Shoppe as well and was turned off for the same reason. I do know 2 people who used them though and were happy. I wasn't at their weddings so I can't attest to that.

I got a small brochure at a tasting I just went to tonight at Chateu Le Mer. It has a small amount of pictures. I will scan it at work and post pics or a link to a pdf.

I went to the little flower shoppe and had the same experience. John was very nice though. But just to comment on what I quoted, James Cress did the same thing...both of these florists gave me the FTD book to look at. I know James Cress does amazing work. I guess they rely on their rep over pics of work.

I have to admit even though I live two blocks away I had never gone there to purchase flowers. When i was little i would dumpster dive for flowers for mother's day (that and i live near a funeral home so freebies there also) IoI But as a adult I never went there to purchase anything. I am not big into flowers and arrangements.

I will be going there this weekend to get prices, etc. I realized the book that was given to me most likely was just a FTD book with a sticker on top of it. Not sure becaues I forgot the folder at home and did not bring it to work.

I say go with your gut, but do check out a few other places. I recommend that you go to Flowers Etc. .
I've had a wonderful experience dealing with the owner, Jola.

I just wanted to let you know that I found out the the vendors that are 'recommended' by halls PAY the halls to be recommended.

Interesting piece of info!

AH HA! I am going to wedding world next week to check out packages. I am going to compare the prices from them to prices the 'recommended' vendors give. Who ever is cheapest and good gets the job

I sugest anyone go to wedding world its listed under vendors (wedding packages). I hear many good things about them.
