The long and short of it - BM dresses

The long and short of it - BM dresses

For BM dresses - how do you ladies feel on long dresses vs. short/tea length.

I have always imagined tea length. For the end of May I would think a long dress would be kind of hot for the girls to move around in.

But some people think tea length is too casual and doesn't look dressy.

Thoughts?

I actually really like the tea-length dresses--especially in the spring and summer months! I think the casualness of the dress would depend more on the style than the length but that's just me!

I say if you want them--go for it : )

Tea length is great for Spring, but depending on the fabric of your BM dresses, floor length would be just as nice. I would go with a chiffon dress if you choose to do floor length because it's more flowly and the material is light and airy and your BMs won't be hot.

All my girls, except for MOH, will be in tea length. I wore a tea length dress for my cousin's wedding and it was quite formal! Here's the dress I wore!

I think it depends on the tone of the wedding. Some weddings are very casual so full length gowns seem out of place. My girls are having long gowns because next to my dress tea length gowns would look a little weird IMO. But I when I was looking at BM dresses I liked a lot of the shorter dresses but overall my girls wanted long.

Ha - ya know, i didnt even think to ask them what they want (long vs short). I hope that doesn't sound horrible - but I really didn't think so ask!

I think that tea length gowns are perfect for spring/summer weddings. I think that they look beautiful!! However, I do think that they are less formal than the floor length gowns. I'm getting married in May and I'm planning on having floor length BM dresses.

I agree. I'm also having long gowns instead of tea-length. To me, it's more formal, and it's what I always pictured. However, I am going to try and find a dress where the material is light, so if it is hot on my wedding day, they won't sweat like dogs!!
