Okay, first off, what an amazing book. I was so hooked into the story of Susie Salmon and her family... an outsider watching the difficulties of a family dealing with the murder of a child, wanting so much for the murder to be caught.
Then the thoughts of what might have been... so sad.
Alice Sebold did such an amazing job with capturing the emotions of Susie, her family and friends.
I highly reccomend this book!

I really enjoyed this book! I remember I read it in two days. They are making it into a movie and I'm really curious how it will be executed.

You guys should read 'Lucky' - that is Sebold's autobiography about her rape and her life. It's tough to read but really good reading and I feel like it's the companion book to 'Lovely Bones'

I read Lovely Bones several years ago and really liked it. I was also going to suggest you read Lucky.

This was a very difficult read for me. I wouldn't recommend this book. I remember I was waiting for a doctor's apt and the dr. came in and said that she would offer me some advice - abandon the book. I didn't understand why until I finished it - you read on hoping for some resolution, peace and there is none.
I have to tell you, the beginning chapter of that book haunts me. I won't see the movie.
