Re: The Lovely Bones - Did you like it? (Yes/No)
I just finished it last night. I enjoyed it. Didnt expect the ending the way it was though. Like a few others said, I enjoyed the beginning, middle more than towards the end.

I liked it but I really expected it to be better since everybody was raving about it.

can I give a vote ? I tried to read it and struggled through 2/3 of it and hated it. I am an avid reader, but i have to be interested. I stuck with it only because of the rave reviews
so - 2 thumbs DOWN

Overall I liked it...but there were some spots that were a chore to get through...but I agree that it puts perpective on life!

It kept me interested until the end. I liked it but was not thrilled with the ending. However, overall I'd still say Thumbs Up!

I didn't enjoy the book as much as I wanted to. A bunch of my friends read and loved it. Maybe I expected more based on how much they all enjoyed it.
The first few chapters had me riveted, but after that, I feel the story just fell flat.
The storyline was interesting. I was curious how Sebold would depict a young girl's heaven.
I was surprised that I didn't feel for the characters or share any of their emotions. I don't think they were developed as well as they could've been, to me they were kind of flat. For such an emotionally charged story, I just thought I'd feel more, be more involved.
I did smile when Holiday found Susie in heaven and almost knocked her over.
