Re: The Metropolitan
I went to a wedding there 2 years ago. They had a cocktail reception and I thought it was really nice. Its a very elegant space and they had a 10 piece jazz band. Very classy and very different. I thought the food was good too.

Re: The Metropolitan
Had my prom there . And just went to a wedding there this past spring. It's very nice...but there is definitely a cap on how many people it can hold. There is also a upstairs balcony section which makes it different.

Re: The Metropolitan
I liked the setup because it was different, but they had a 125 minimum, which I wasn't sure we would make, so we eliminated them as a choice.

Re: The Metropolitan
I was at a wedding there in July - Personally I did not like it for a Wedding - At least not THIS wedding. - There was just too many people for the space. Everyone was very cramped, and the way the room is set up you can't see anything. - Also, the Bride and Groom's table was basically shoved in a tiny corner of the room. - The food was very good, VERY good. but I didn't like the atmosphere of the place at all. - I also didn't like the fact that the band/dj sets up DIRECTLY behind the bar........

Re: The Metropolitan
I am getting married there next October in the Club Room downstairs. Its very different and I love it. The minimum for that space is 50 people (I am having a smaller wedding). The photo of the cocktail hour room is on their website under 'gallery 2'. The ceremony and reception room can't be seen in the photo.
They are very nice there and I think it will be great. Only drawback is no place for photos outside and that has to be done elsewhere.
