The Metropolitan - How many guests? (& other Q's added)

Anyone have any idea on the minimum for the Metropolitan in Glen Cove?

Also, any idea on the max that would be comfortable there?

it says 50-250 under PLANNING - reception halls

For some reason, I remember someone telling me that it wouldn't be comfortable with more than 180? But that was a while ago, and I may have the wrong place...

I don't think my wedding will be that big at all... Just wondering if 120-150 would work there...

i went to a wedding there this weekend and there were WELL over 200 guests....you'll be fine with your number!

So, i know this post is a little old but i just got married at the metropolitan and figured i could answer the questions posted....

they do have a sep. room for the CH. some brides prefer to do the CH on the upper level though. also, if you are getting married there, then the ceremony is in the other room and the CH is on the upper floor.

as for #'s of guests....i had a sat night guarantee of 140, and ended up with 230 at my wedding. they can fit 170-180 comfortably on the lower level. you don't have to seat guests on the upper level unless you want to. i had to since my guest list was so big, but i actually was told by alot of the upstairs people that they thought it was cool that they could look down on everything happening. plus, there's another bar on the upper level, so that made people up there happy too.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm having my wedding there next year. We have a minimum of 110 people for a Saturday afternoon wedding. We will be having our ceremony there also (so we'll be using that separate room for that) and CH in the room upstairs. You can FM me if you need any other info. Hope this helps!
