the moment you realized you're getting married

so... i went dress shopping for the first time.. and when i put on the dresses it was INSANE looking at myself in a wedding gown. and that i actually thought, 'oh my god i'm getting married.'

anybody else have the same thing? where you talk about getting married, you set the date and start the details, but then you put on a dress and a veil and you totally get overwhelmed with the emotion of it... i am SOO excited i cannot wait to find MY dress!

same here, when I found THE gown.....it was like wow, i'm going to walk down the aisle in this and say my vows.

and then it hit me again a second time today when we designed our wedding bands.

when i bought FHs wedding band....up till that point it hadnt hit me, then all of the sudden i was like holy crappoli, im getting married in less then a year!

Mine was dress shopping too. I didn't want to try on a veil at first because I kept thinking I did't want one. but the sales girl brought me one and once I tried it on I was like 'oh i'm a bride now'. Even though I had been staring at the beautiful ring on my finger for four months already!!

def. when I ordered my wedding dress I was thinking, OMG this is really happening' and then when she put the veil on I wanted to cry.

The first time it REALLY hit us was when we were going over everything we've booked/bought and we were both at the same time like 'OMG I can't believe we're reallly getting married! YAY!'

my first time was dress shopping too. I kept saying i dont want a veil, but my mom and sister told me i just had to try one. So i did and thats when it hit me! So now i will be wearing a veil.

the second time was just the other day when i was looking at a preview of vows with our names in them!!!

I have been living over 300 miles away from FH since we got engaged and we haven't done toom much with the wedding cause I am trying to finish up my last couple months of school so my OMG moment hasn't happened yet....can't wait till it does though

For me it was at my hair trial, when she put the veil on...the dress was one thing but the veil was such an eye opener for me. I guess its because you can where white dresses at other times in life but most likely never a veil.

totally when he proposed! i was like OMGOMG im getting married!!!!

Then again when we booked our first vendor it all became very real....

Edit: becuase i thought of another one! MY save the dates went out today now im really for real getting married! OMG!

mine is when fh moved into his new house... he turned to me and asked me how i wanted to decorate 'our ' house and it was then that it hit me that i would be living there with him !!!

thats so funny i was the same way i was all against the veil till i said oh what the heck lets see
and then it hit me OMG i'm getting married btw i was one of thoes 'i'll never get married types... who needs the big tada it's only a peice of paper'

now i'm all into the planning and DIY stuff

Definatly when I found THE gown... well, for me it was 4, then narrowed it down to one..but still. When I actually stopped the whole excitment of just trying on dresses, and reeeally looked at myself in the mirror...I was just like, OMG...I'm getting married sooo soon! It's soo real now!

i didn't feel that way when i first went, but when i found MY dress, it def hit. booking the RH felt that way a little bit too bc i could picture our reception.

I first realized it when we booked our RH..We went looking at places 2 weeks after getting engaged. The NRC was everything we were looking for, and we booked on the spot!!

It REALLY hit me a couple weeks after that when we went to meet with our priest. Things he said about mariage were so beautiful I started (happily) crying!

Feel that way after I book my vendors. And it keeps getting stronger as I get closer to having all of the vendors I need. Its such and exciting time, and the feeling, lIke OMG this is really happening.

For me dress shopping too - I had a dress on, then added the veil, then she handed me a bouquet and suddenly i was like OMG now i am a bride

I have almost NOOOOO emotion when I try on a dress I just stand there and say, This is pretty Nothing one way or the other yet. My mom on the other hand is like this
