Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I'm so not concerned about the Maitre'd thing. My brother was a Maitre'd at Bridgeview for 3 years and started when he was 21. One of his closest buds in another maitre'd there. They're young guys but I know that they both bust their butts trying to make sure the weddings go well...and you know the saying...there are three sides to every story...your side, my side and the truth!! That stinks about the guests bag being stolen though...I wonder where it was stolen from!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

have any of you ladies had a trail with Jackie for makeup? the wedding planners at fox hollow told me to call her but before i do so i wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on her. also, is it too early to be booking makeup when my wedding is in a year and one month EXACTLY (weird) from now?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

We'll have to share experiences. I checked out the web site www.jdncosmetics.com. Looks like she uses her own makeup. But that's all I know so far. Have you called yet? I haven't.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I am using the Inn at Plainview, for my wedding and a friend of mine is using them as well and her wedding is at the Inn at Fox Hollow. They are changing the entire hotel to a Four Point by Sheraton. Going Nutty recommended the hotel to me and my GF

No...at least I don't think so. I think her company name is JDN Cosmetics.

Are you using Jackie from I Make Up?

It's a bit lighter, stays on a bit longer. They basically apply it w/an airbrush...like painting!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Thanks...that sounds soooo strange. my sister just had her wedding but i never heard of that term before or process.

by the way, are any of you fox hollow brides having your rehearsal dinners at fox hollow or chateau briand? i know they give discounts at both places for fox hollow brides.

We won't, even though I'd love to. The church is in brooklyn, so we're having the RH close to the church.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

So it sounds like you're really going to be rehearsing. We're not really doing that part, just the dinner part. :)

Would it be strange to have the RH at Fox Hollow? I keep thinking I wouldn't mind it at all.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

we aren't doing a rh. i didn't want the extra planning and it really isn't necessary ( we have small families.)

airbrushing makes your skin totally even looking and it stays on very well but i didn't like it b/c i felt like my face was going to crack! from what i hear, people either totally love it or totally hate it.

i think her prices are listed on her website. it really depends on how many people are having makeup done. the more people u have the cheaper it is per person. it's only me and mom so it's pricey. fm me if u want the exact price for 2 people for airbrushing.
