The new stadium.....

well..for football events, your talking about traffic once per week (sundays)...

if people were smart, they konw to take public transportation right to the game or events as there is not going to be a huge parking lot like we find at the medowlands. jacobs jivits i think really doesnt have a true parking lot and we randomly put up events thier like the car show.

the main issue is taxes... pay now for the city to profit later. all these events already lined up bring in big money

I am for it. They will probably build a multi-story parking garage by the stadium.

But building this stadium I think means expanding the 7 line out there. That was part of the Olympics plan.

So I think eventually the 7 train will end at the Javits center instead of Times Square. They may not have this done by 2009.... but the would have it done by 2012.

It was always a pain in the *** to get to the Javits center by public transportation... but with the 7 train going out there it will be a piece of cake now.

Oh yes that would be great having the 7 train go there. At my job we plan an annual dental convention held at the javits center and we always get calls asking how you get there by public transportation and it's a pain explaining it but with a train going directly there.

However this will make the 7 train more crowded with it going to two stadiums, both shea and the new one.

right..and im sure if they were to overlap, jets would have a late game (4) or the mets can play Sunday night games on ESPN... it will be fine. alot of people are getting worked up about traffic...they is already a traffice problem in NY
