The new stadium.....

should we have one in the city or not? I am divided. The city in congested enough as it is having a stadium would congested even more but on the other hand it would be nice to have a stadium right here in the city overlooking the water and having superbowls and the olympics. It can be good financially for the city too.

'I'm not surprised that everyone supports redhead on these boards. They hang on ever word she says and always always agree with her. and trust me I am not alone is this feeling...god forbid anyone disagree with the almighty queen of the boards.'

This was posted earlier and I got insulted by the implication that I can't think for myself.

the only person giving me a big head was HER

my mind is in the gutter today

i read this really fast and just saw 'giving' and 'head' in the same sentence

However this will make the 7 train more crowded with it going to two stadiums, both shea and the new one.

Are you kidding? This is GREAT. This gives the MTA more reason to run MORE trains on Sundays. The stadiums are at opposite sides of the line. Westbound trains will be packed with football fans. Eastbound trains will have all the Mets fan.

This is a perfect scenario.

Now if they were building the football stadium RIGHT NEXT to Shea.... that would be a different story cause eastbound trains would be MAD PACKED... and westbound trains would be empty.

Re: The new stadium.....

I would personally rather see the city finish the 2nd avenue subway project than spend the $ extending the 7, but that's just me.
