the non bridal shower-bridal shower....

so... i hate showers.. i like really do.. baby, bridal, housewarming.. u name it.. if it involves a paper plate hat and ribbons, and an oversized chair. or games where u try to guess what's in a paper bag based on the shape of it. i'm just not with it..

but my mom and MOH are insisting that I have one.. so in order for me to not cut somebody for trying to attach a paperplate to my head, i need ideas..

i was thinking roller skating . think about it... skate.. skate.. eat pizza and flat soda.. skate.. open presents.. skate...go home.... but my mom vetoed that...then i thought yoga.. she sort of liked that idea.. but then i thought bowling.. like at Strike or something.. She wasn't trying to hear that either.. so now i'm thinking dave and busters.. what's better than skee ball?

but in case that doesn't fly with my mom.. lol. does anyone have any other ideas?

we are hiring a bartender who specializes in martini parties @ home-- she brings everything-glasses, sugar for the rims and the bar.

my mom is having food catered and we will not open gifts there--it will just be a huge party.

just kidding.. tasteless joke i know.. but i was just kidding..

i know they woudln't skate.. but they won't do anything at a regular shower either..but sit there and chat.. so they can sit and chat at a skating rink also..

come guys bumppity bump bump.. cocktails sounds nice. i can see everyone enjoying drinks.. but then what? maybe we can do drunk yoga??? that sounds like fun!!!!

now wait Denice.. grandma aint' gonna roller skate but sh's gonna belly dance?lol

i'm playing.. just playing.. the spa sounds nice.. my mom mentioned that too.. i like the dance lesson thingy.. i'm gonna explore all of these ideas some more.. thanks!

LOL well she can sit and watch, just wasnt sure at a skating ring like how it would be set up for a party but i guess if they have tables around then its fine
