Re: The North Ritz Club
There are actually quite a few North Ritz Brides on this board. Me being one of them. We really liked it for a few reasons, 1) not many people had been there, (being that it was brand-new and all) I hate going to the same place after place for weddings, 2) one wedding at a time (big plus), 3) the decor we really liked classy and 4) we got to try there food and it was really good. Definitely go check it out I've been hearing they are becoming really popular. I've been dealing with Christina.

Re: The North Ritz Club
Thanks Marcella. I did look at it and it is beautiful. They re-did it one year ago. The price is right, but Just concerned about the food and service. The two most importan things I want is excellent food

Re: The North Ritz Club
Hi - Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it!! My fiance and I went to look at it last night. My brother is a videographer and has been to a few parties there. he said it was brand new and not alot of people knew about it yet. I spoke with Ida. She said they usually do not have a tasting, but if we wanted one we could have one. Did you get a tasing after you signed the contract or before? What is your wedding date and were you able to negotiate alot? Sorry so amny questions. Thanks!

Re: The North Ritz Club (sorry a little long)
Well they didn't want to give us a tasting until after we booked, they said if we didn't like the food they would gladly give us our money back. But I just didn't feel comfortable going through the trouble of booking it and then having to say 'oh sorry don't like your food give me my $1,000 deposit back'. So I figured forget it and we looked elsewhere I looked at 18 halls 18 DIFFERENT HALLS
and was really ready to kill myself (have I mentioned I can be a little neurotic). My Fi really loved the North Ritz and he wanted it so badly and I really liked it too. So I called Christina back and said look we really love your place but I just don't feel comfortable booking without a tasting I'm sorry your too knew and the food is too important. I said 'we'll gladly pay for a tasting'. So she said 'Ok come in for a tasting, if you book us its free of charge, if you don't book us you can pay for the tasting' I agreed immediately and we were extremely happy with the tasting and booked it on the spot. I was soooooooo happy and relieved. I do understand them not being able to give everyone who inquires a free tasting (that would obviously be a fortune for them) but I have my principals too. Our wedding is Nov. 24 (
oh God exactly 2 months from today). Being that they were brand-new I think we may have gotten a 'little bit' of a deal but we definitely didn't get an amazing drop dead deal. But that's OK I feel I am getting my money's worth. That's what's most important to me. Good Luck, any more questions - just ask and keep us posted.

Re: The North Ritz Club
I'm a NRC bride. We had our food tasting this weekend. I actually didn't go because I was being a brat and I was so tired from the day before so my FH and my parents went. They said the food was really good! We signed a few months ago and we can't be more happier with our decision. Ida has been great! If you do a search, a bride on this board had her wedding there and posted a review and some pics. Good luck!

Re: The North Ritz Club
I am getting married there next month. I can tell you good food and a lot of it was my priority. I went to plan my menu last week and they gave me complete confidence.I booked back in June 2001 and there was still alot of construction going on. I booked first but they wrote in the contract depends on food tasting. The food tasting was great.
There is a lot of talk on this board about this place if you do a search you can get lots of info.
