Re: The Oar House Patchogue

I've eaten there many times, but it was YEARS ago...10 at least I'd say. I always really liked it, I got the burgers and I remember that they seasoned it really well, it had almost a steak sauce/worcester sauce marinade. We stopped going, but not because it was bad, just it was out of the way for us and we would go with my nana, and she didn't always feel up for going out shortly thereafter.

Re: The Oar House Patchogue

I've eaten there plenty of times and the food is always good. My parents eat there ALL the time - it's where they keep their boat. I did a brunch there for my engagement party and it was excellent.

Re: The Oar House Patchogue

I have never been there but I have heard good things about it.
If you are looking for a RD spot, I just booked at the Riverview in Oakdale which is only a few miles from there. Great spot on the water and good food.

This is a great spot too! My father played a band job there Memorial Day weekend and we had a really nice time eating dinner in the bar area watching...not where an RD would be, but the food was still good! I feel like with these kind of posts, it's more like where HAVEN'T I ate, heiffer that I can be

Re: The Oar House Patchogue

Was the bridal shower held in the back part-not attached to the restaurant? That is where they told me the rd would be. Is the room nice, is it still on the water?

Re: The Oar House Patchogue

The Oar is amazing! I live in Patchogue and this is a hot spot in the summer. Food is great and so is the atmosphere. Alot of boaters hang out there bc their boats are docked right outside. I was just there for dinner and drinks the other night!

I might be wrong, but I don't think that separate room is still on the water.
