How did family feel or will feel about traveling to LI for the reception?

Greg's family whined and whined and whined about it, until Greg's father paid for a mini-bus to transport them from Brooklyn to Leonard's...

Hello, Bay Ridge here too! Christine I think I know you, but you probably won't remember me....I worked (actually still do!) at your old doc's office.
FH and I haven't picked a place yet, we do want to try and keep it local in Brooklyn but find a 'different' location...its definitely proving hard to do, but we haven't given up hope yet!

As for bridal shower places:
Pazzo's http://www.pazzorestaurant.com/

Rex Manor

Chianti Restaurant
8530 3rd Ave., Brooklyn, NY

Thank you Christine!!

I am addicted to this site!! I usually can't wait to get home from work and log on. These boards are awesome and the girls are really helpful!! Once I REALLY start my wedding planning (FH and I are kind of unmotivated to actually get up and look at places to set a date!), I know these boards are going to be priceless to me, they already have on my quest to find the perfect reception!
