The official Celebrity Gossip thread

Since the 2004 release of Afrodisiac, singer Brandy has been planning her return to acting as the star of a new sitcom for the WB channel.
The untitled project, written by the 'Girlfriends' creator Mara Brock Akil, will follow the life of a hardcore New Yorker (played by the former Moesha, of course) who moves to Los Angeles for a job in the entertainment industry.
'I truly believe that Brandy deserves a wonderful platform to return to television,' Akil told AOL news. 'I'd like to be the one who gives her her next big hit.'
Akil had previously worked with the singer/actress as a writer for 'Moesha,' Brandy's 1996-2001 hit sitcom which aired on rival channel UPN.
