Yes they are right nextdoor! Its a new hotel that they were in the process of building when we were there back in May. I do not know when it is opening though.

we were going tro get that room when we first started talking about a HM but we decided not too. Its way to expensive!! we are going cheap!! lol This way we can stay longer. Plus...how much are you gaonna be in your room?

DH and I just got home from St. Lucia this past week. The Grande is beautiful!! Everything was wonderful. The food, staff, service, beaches...everything!! The only downfall about St. Lucia is the two hour cab ride to the hotel. TERRIBLE! Girls who get car sick, do not forget your meds!! We had to pull over 3 times because the other couple sharing the cab with us kept throwing up. It was horrible!!

Maybe it will be a little better. The roads are the roads though, and the drivers are maniacs! I've never seen anything like it before!

I def hear ya though because in bahamas it was the same way. We were in a bus cab thing and i really thought we were going to tip over!!!!!!! lol..

Went to the Regency in St Lucia, loved loved loved it, it is by far the nicest place we have ever seen,=.
We did have the butler service and stay up in the bluff with the two level villa and our own plunge pool it was a wonderful treat, the other pool with the two waterfalls up top was great the one below was not to nice, to many couples kind of like a public pool. The service was very good and the food was not to good, would be go back without a doubt, but not at that level with the butler, I dont think we could ever afford that, we blew most of our money from the wedding on this sutie. It was well worth it. Activities that were amazing, horseback riding, go for the shorter excursion, you do more in shorter time and still its a long day, you actually swim with the horses girls, its is by far the coolest thing we have ever done, you go out about a 1/2 mile into the bluest of blue water and the horse swims you around, the Halcyon is by far in need of repair, very run down and dirty, but just in some areaa, the Grande is also very beautiful but we loved the regency the best, is all built into the mountain, different view from each restaurant and room, amazing looking....

hmm does anyone think it is worth it pay for the helicopter ride? I doubt FH would go for it but I am debating it bc that is what EVERYONE complains about ( the drive )

Hey if you can I would try. I hope because we will have a limo it will be harder to go nutz on the roads hehehe. But ya never know. In the bahamas it was the same thing and everyone in the bus was fine and it was REALLY bumpy and RAINING HEHEHEHEHE. It all depends on how you can handle the ride.

Look into it. I'm not sure if the helicopter ride is just for the smaller airport. I do not know if you can do the helicopter ride coming in from the larger airport. Def. check it out though!
