Hey Girls

So we went to the surf club to make a payment tonight... its almost done!!! they still have little stuff here and there to do on the inside.. but its looking great!

the stairs are amazing.. the new bar looks great.. the colors are beautiful... the bridal suite is awesome

they said the fountain is scheduled to come in on the last tue in May.. so it should be ready by June as well...

Jaime wasn't there so i couldn't really ask any questions.. but so far so good!

oh that is excellent!! I have to go to make another payment too! I am super super super excited!!!!

As of tonight, I'm an official Surf Club bride!!
We waited till the renovations were somewhat completed to take out parents there to finalize everything and it looks gorgeous!! And from what they said it will look even better by next year Next May they will put in a new pool with fountains that will light up at night and a few other things that I can't remember right now because the excitement is giving me a brain fart haaa! For those who have not seen the renovations, the stairs are BEAUTIFUL!! the bridal suites are very nice..the main enterence has plenty of seating for guests who arrive early. They put in 2 fire places, an amazing fish tank with tropical fish, beautiful furniture and best of all, that ugly red color on the walls is gone! We saw the new chairs they will be getting in and they are actually nice..might not get the chair covers since they will be brand new. They have stopped construction because of legalities concerning posts that line the parking lot which will have fire burning on top instead of a lamp..have to get approval from fire dept or something like that..so the driveway and parking lot are not yet paved. They said they have hired a limo company in the mean time to escort people from their cars to the main entrance so the ladies wont have to walk in the gravel in their heals. They might put a small fountain in the room where they have cocktail hour also. We are just super excited to have an official RH and date set..now the fun begins lol. Today was also FH's birthday so we went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate! My mom and FMIL took some pictures so I will try to post them when I get them. YAY!!

its very pretty...NO pink walls. Its netural colors with cherry wood accents. New ceilings that are soooo much nicer! The carpet is a blue color with some cream/gold tones if im n ot mistaken.
think they kept the dance floor the same in both rooms which I wasnt loving the idea of...esp the downstairs room I think it personally look better with marble

They told me it was a new dance floor (it looked the same to me tho)

yup and the upstairs is all finished as well!

i cant wait to go see it in June!!!

it looks the same to me lighter wood with the flower border...you can even see some ware and tear on it, so I def dont think its new. If it was new I'd think they go with marble just to match the rest of the place.....maybe Im wrong hmmm....

Hey did anyone go the expo at that hotel???

I think I may drive up there in the next few weeks for a quick peek :)

It was nice...I went there b/c the string trio that is doing my ceremony was playing in the lobby and I wanted to go over some details with her. I saw some good deals, but only for certain vendors I need. I really only needed video and honeymoon. It was fun we got free tote bags and bridal magazines!

Hey girls! Did anyone have the talk about the wedding cake that the Surf Club provides? If so, what kind of cake did you choose and what was included. I started to try and get some ideas of what I want, but I don't want to get my hopes up if they aren't going to do exactly what I want...

soooo excited.. i can't believe its almost here!

I drove past the surf club yesterday and NOTHING outside is done yet!!! I'm not worried for myself as I still have a LOT of time but I really think it is so unprofessional.. I know that they have had 'issues' or whatever but the entire parking lot is muddish with construction stuff and trailers. I heard that they have been bussing people from a separate location up to the door for the weddings that are booked for late may and june.. which is great but it still concerns me. I know a lot of us had questions about the pool issue etcetc. and i'm worried that the same unprofessionalism will be present when dealing with these issues in the future..

Does anyone else feel this way?

ohmigod! r u serious? I thought for sure they would be done by now... I wanted to go up there in the next few weeks to see what the progress looks like and to talk about the pool thing. I feel bad for the brides who are getting married there in a few weeks.
