YES!! I'm curious about hotels also. I heard that the CLOSEST one isn't the best.. that is has a 'rough' night club.. but then someone else told me that the night club is totally fine.. so I'm confused.

I know there is a Raddison by there.. not sure if this is the night club one... Any info. girls????


I CAN NOT WAIT FOR RENNOVATIONS just thinking about them right now gets me all jittery!!

I heard of the Raddison for sure, and than there is the Residence Inn By Marriott New Rochelle which by there as well. If I hear of anymore I will let you know.

BTW, I am heading up there in 2 weeks to drop off a payment and bringing my DJ friend their so he see what sort of lighting we need. I'll let you know how it looks. I hope the inside is done by than.

we blocked rooms at the radisson.. that is the one with the 'night club' .. people say its not that nice.. but its only one night and its not far so we went with it....

there are no shuttles to any of the hotels nearby tho :( we called all of them...

as for renovations.. we went up there 2 weeks ago and your not even allowed to go in... they have trailers in the parking lot where they do business until the work is done... so i would call before you bring your DJ friend up... my brother came to see the place and he was mad when he reallized we couldn't go in .. lol

Oh No! Ok I will def. call before we bring him.

As for shuttles, why not hire an outside company? If you call the companies that cater to just Shuttle Buses, you're bound to get a great price. We plan on doing that.

Hey guys - it's official! 3/20/10 Grand Ballroom :)

I left the trailer last night thinking, omg i put a deposit down on a venue I have never seen. It took a ridiculous amount of faith but I have only heard great things about the ballroom, the service and the food. I am just really hoping that the renovations are classy lol.

From what I was told, Surf Club will open the first of May and the first bridal show is May 17th @ 1:00pm. I will be going and hope to see some of you there!

Oh don't worry! Its going to look so nice! The ballroom is the room that we choosed, and its amazing!

BTW, I got some quotes on the raddison awhile back. When I get home tonight, I will see if I can find them. I wanted to block out 10+ rooms, and they quoted me around $117 i think. I will let you know later :)

yea FH thinks they said it was around $120 or something.. and he says they didn't say anything about charging if rooms don't book up.

Haven't seen any work yet!!

Susan-howcome ur profile says you're using June Florist. I thought we had to use an in house florist? Did they add any??
