Hey Girls!
I noticed there were tons of questions flying around about the Surf Club in New Rochelle, so lets all help each other!

Hi Girls, FH just called me and told me The Surf Club sent us a letter saying that Artie is now running and event planning business @ SC and starting Jan 1st, they are no longer allowing outside florists. I'm so confused..my contract says we have to choose from 3 of their house florists so I was going to make an appointment with Westchester after the holidays. Am I not allowed to book with Westchester florist after Jan 1st? of do you think it applies to new brides who book SC after Jan 1st?

The letter doesn't say that the flowers will be done by Westchester flowers..it says that 'Creative Concepts' managed by Artie will provide flowers, cenerpieces, linens, and decor. I'm so confused. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. Did anyone else receive this letter??

i am still at work but will let you know when i get home... leslie ann is right, they can't require this after you already signed a contract. but when i met with artie a few weeks ago he mentioned westchester floral becoming the exclusive florist.

Hey loves... technically if you booked prior to the changes, this won't or shouldn't affect you. HOWEVER< that does not mean you shouldn't call to verify with your banquet manager. Its super important you do that first before you take any further steps.

That letter was beyond ridiculous; infact I threw it out.

Love the SC I do but that was a little crazy for me. My RH BM has been amazing since we booked so I really can't complain, he's been super accomodating. And helpful. And understanding to a point. But my goodness...

And who is this artie guy? If some of you worked with him, is he cool? And when do you meet with him?

Sandra technically they can make us use their inhouse florist as long as they compensate us for the deposit we left with danny and give us the same stuff for the same price that he agreed to.

but if that's the case im furious. i want to work with danny and really dont like anything about that letter they sent.

Ughh this is rediculous. I will try calling tomorrow but please let us know if any of you find any additional info about it. I think this will be a turn off for future brides. I honestly wasn't crazy abt having to choose between 3 florists but this it rediculous now.

When we booked, it stated that we have to use the in house florist. We all had a heartattack when we heard about that. I booked westchester floral, as per Jamie's request.

Like I said, I think we all need to call our BM's and see if this applys to your contract. I spoke to mine and I know what we can and can not have.

Call you BM's ladies, thats why we have them

We spoke to Jamie and he told us what this means to our contract...

If jamie's your BM, call him. He's really cool and he really helps out and explains everything.

ok so i just spoke w/ chris and he said if you've already booked your florist you don't have to use theirs

but they're no longer allowing outside vendors for lighting or linens, either. BS!!!!!

Hi Girls, FH spoke to Carlo and he said to throw the letter in the garbage. He just said don't worry it doesn't apply to us. Should I believe him? He's not exactly the best BM
