The Old Field Club

I'm have an appointment to visit this saturday, I'm excited. Is there anything I should especially ask about or notice? Also, does anyone know if they charge a fee to hold the ceremony here and if so how much?

Not much negotiation.

FH and I tried so hard to negotiate but they didn't budge. The only thing that they did was lower the price for vendor meals and provide free valet.

What kind of lower price?? They told us vendors eat for half price. I wish they'd throw in free valet, maybe I'll bully them at my tasting. Right now we have no valet at all, but if I don't get it I'm not stressing...its a small parking lot.

FH and I basically told them that the price was way too much for us and that we would probably have to go with another hall (because we realllllly wanted them to negotiate). We were honestly considering booking another hall because the cost for a Sat wedding was out of our price range, but ultimately decided to splurge and book with them. But, I think we're paying about $25 for each vendor meal, but I'm not 100% sure and I don't have my contract with me. I think that Tom saw that we were upset that they couldn't negotiate with the price (because we really really tried - we had more than one meeting with him trying to negotiate) so he tried to do something for us. So he lowered the price for vendor meals and threw in valet. Although I've heard other brides say that OFC sometimes throws in valet at the last minute even though it's not on your contract.

Thanks girls Ellie, I will definitely let you know how it goes We're going to a rockabilly dance after our old field club meeting. The rockabilly dance is in Smithtown, not too far. We just started dance lessons about 2 months ago once a week. None of our family members know, we're planning surprising everyone at the wedding, so this should be fun and good practice.
