I saw them recently at a bridal expo and they seem to have good package prices for photo and video. Just wanted to know if anyone knows about them or has used them before. They are having a showcase at the Marriot Marquis on B'way (45th & 46th St.) on 10/3/03 which I may go to, but just curious if anyone knows of them.

Re: The PROS Entertainment
I heard them at the MS walk last year at Bellmore Lake State Park. I called and they invited me to a few shows on long island, but each show kept getting cancelled for poor attendence. I decided to go elsewhere becasue of it. Their packages do look really good though.

Make sure you get the names of the photographer, videographer and DJ's you like. When they show you work, ask to see a complete set of proofs from the photographer you like.
Good Luck, I hope it works out, their prices are great.

Re: The PROS Entertainment
A friend of mine used them for her DJ, Photo and Video.
The DJ kinda ****ed. (Even she said it) The video was okay, but it lacked creativty. It was edited and it had baby pictutures. But No creative shots or artistic, no music. Seemed sorta cheesy, but she was happy. Her photos were nice. Again not creative. But they took some beautiful shots by the water with the sunset in the background.
She used them cause she had a small wedding budget of 8K. (That's an average of cost of a weddings on this coast of Florida)
I would say they do a nice job. But no more.

Re: The PROS Entertainment
I used The Pros for DJ and video. Very reasonable price. I feel I got what I paid for.
DJ was energetic (Bob) and together with his assistant they were great with involving the crowd, although a little rude and inflexible toward the end of the night. But I have to say I really hit it off with Bob at his show. He's very experienced and has a great personality.
Video? Well, I don't know what's worse. The fact that one of my GM toppled the camera twice, the sloppy videographer who left the reception to get ice-cream with his assistant and had to be escorted back to the party by more GM, or the master tape which won't even play in a VCR (all static, no sound, no nothing). The 2 copies are better than the master, but the quality is very poor. I really don't understand that part. The childhood pictures are crooked, the sound off, and the editing painful. They even missed 'The Kiss'. And this coming from someone not excited by wedding videos. I will say here, as I did to them, as far as the video goes, I suppose it's what I get due to my unruly GM and his accidental tendencies. I'll suck it up.
Now my experience may just be a result of the individuals booked to do my wedding. You may find the exact opposite with another combo, or even a different chemistry with mine. Research is always a good thing no matter who you end up dealing with. I wish you all the best of luck.

Re: The PROS Entertainment
Yikes RG I hope that is not my experience!
I am using them for my wedding on 9/27. The reason I chose them was because of my limited budget. I will admit I am a bit nervous, and of course I wish I could have afforded a photographer like Imagine or Patken, but it is not in the cards for me. As long as they show up and are not rude etc I will be happy.
I went to the showcase and picked the people I like. edited for spelling errors

Re: The PROS Entertainment
I don't usually write on here anymore but I wanted to tell you DO NOT USE THEM FOR VIDEO. My FSIL used them for video on 8/24 and it was the worse quality I had ever seen. The video looked worse than an amateur video. the lens of the camera was dirty and you could see it throughout the video. She cried when she saw it. The sound was horrible and he didn't even record anyone coming down the aisle during the wedding.
She also used them for DJ services which was okay. I know the price sounds good, but I'm sure you could find someone who can do a better job. I hoped that helped.
I just wanted to add that this was my experience. It may not be the same for everyone.
Good Luck Planning

Re: The PROS Entertainment
Thanks everyone for the feedback...I will check it out and get a feel for it... I will definitely check out other places too, but I guess b/c I have a budget I feel like the choices are limited. Anyone have any suggestions for photo/video packages that are between 2000-3000?
