Wow. Was the baby an accident? Maybe he just needs more time to get used to it? Honestly I know my DH would not have been pleased had I gotten pregnant before now (or even now, since we still want to wait a while). It does mean the end of being a kid yourself, and it's a lifetime responsibility. In a way it's good he is really thinking about how he feels--if he was excited without thinking of the lifetime ramifications, there would be something wrong...A baby means never having a day to yourself again (even with someone else sitting, constantly worrying about another little being). I know at 27 I am not ready yet.

ETA: Maybe he wants to wait until he's out of the army if he wouldn't be around to see him grow up?

Exactly. YOU have an important decision to make- please don't feel pressured to do something you don't want to do because then you may regret it later.

I am soooo sorry that your fh is being so unsupportive. He is being selfish and down right inconsiderate. He needs to accept the consequences of his actions. Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and it is not an accident, it is a surprise.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear this. Don't do anything that YOU will regret years from now. Don't let him make the desicion. If you want the baby, don't let him change your mind. Give him some time, it might be a shock for him right now, don't loose faith in him yet, but keep YOUR best intrests in clear view. He is being terribly selfish. MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.
