HI all! When you guys thought you were pregnant, how long did it take the results to come back from the doctor? Also, did they take a blood test or just urinalysis?

I was hoping to get an answer as I was going to post this same question...
I am going in to have blood work done tomorrow because AF hasn't come in 3 months. I know, I know, however, a HPT every weekend has come back negative, and I came off the pill at the end of last year.
I want to know if I will have results before I leave the doc's office or will I have to wait?? I am almost positive I am NOT pregnant, but you never know...
I'll keep you all posted.

Shamma it is probably because you stopped the patch. I stopped taking the pill in mid-January got my period for 10 days and haven't had it since then, so I have missed it twice. Yippie! No baby here though..I am all done with that. Just the effect of having stopped the pill.

With home test results first morning pee is the best. My preggo line happened immediatley!
Dr. office you pee in the cup & by the time he/she comes in the room they know.

I did HPT about at about 1 day late & got a + ... then went to the dctr for blood work another 2 weeks later. The results came back w/i 24 hours! But thank god for those new HPT tests! You can test up to 3 days early now!!!

Wendy, that what I thought too. I had stopped taking the pill in mid Dec. and got my period right away but when AF didn't show up in Jan. I thought nothing of it. Well guess what...I was prego by mid Jan!
I took two home tests and had the results immediatly. But then went to my Dr. and had a blood test to confirm...and we knew two days later.
