The 'right' purple?

The 'right' purple?

Has anyone seen, in person, any designer that makes BM dresses (preferably chiffon) in a greyish purple? I don't mind if it's a darker grey-purple, or a more of a greyed-out pastel, but I really want a purple that looks dusty or vintage. I keep finding ones that look like they may be good online, but I feel like the online images are deceptive, and I don't want to run all over the place looking for a certain color without any clues of who might have one!

Anyone noticed any in their travels? TIA!

Belsoie by Jasmine.. I have the swatch and it's definitely greyish purple.. it's called 'Victorian.'

Im looking for the same color. We are doing a vintage literature theme in grey and lavender :)

Thanks for the Belsoie suggestion! The color doesn't show up on any of the dresses on the website so I wouldn't have been able to tell without that tip! I will have to check that one out.

I was planning on doing a little hunting this week, I will let you know if I come up with anything that the gals on the board don't already know! :) And let me know also if YOU find the perfect one too!

This! I worked in a bridal salon and this is the color that came to my mind. Definitely has that grey tone you are looking for and that vintage feel!

Honestly, I'm not at the BM dress step yet, so maybe another bride on here can help you out with that. But from what I remember, they were moderately priced.

I think that is the purple people are talking about...

Bill Levkoff makes a color called Victorian Lilac that is what I am imagining as what your describing. Check it out and tell me if it's not close..maybe I can think of something else.

P.S. The first bridesmaid dress on his site comes in that color & it's an adorable dress too.

Thanks girls, those certainly look right! It's so hard to tell if the picture on the website is really how it will look in person!

Have you seen the Bill Levkoff one in person? It looks great on the website!

My BM's dresses are Belsoie - they were about $170 - $180 at the Wedding Center of Commack

I wore BL Victorian Lilac as a bridesmaid and to me it is like a deeper lavendar not really gray. HTH!

Bari Jay also makes a beautiful purple/gray color called Wisteria. THey are around the same price as Belsoie

Bill Levkoff also has the European colors as well. I'm either going with the lilac or the violet.

This is the one that I really love on the website but I am worried it's just like a pastel lavender and doesn't really have a grey tone in person. There are no Bari Jay dealers super close to me so it would be a journey to find the answer! lol

I've seen full gowns in wisteria in person. I know it may be a schlep but it might be worth it. Its definitely got a gray tone to it.
