im going there this summer. ive been to vegas but never the rio. any suggestions, experiences. i know its off the strip already, im not concerned about that. just want to hear what you all have to say!

That's it! Voodoo lounge. They have this 'witches Brew' drink that is HUGE and smokes as you drink it (dry ice) .. it's a nice bar

If you like seafood their seafood buffet is the best ever. It's a little pricey like $30 a person but sooo worth it!!

I went to Vegas only once in 1998 and stayed at the Stardust but we spent alot of time at Rio- the Voodoo lounge has great views and there was some club on the main level.
We were filmed at the Rio and I was on TV dancing on some Vegas special shown on Discovery channel! That was neat.

Just adding my 2 cents... The Rio has really nice rooms, a good pool area (to relax and get some sun), and one of the best buffets in Vegas. I really liked staying there a lot.
