The grounds are absolutely beautiful!
I think its better for a smaller wedding because the inside room is oddly shaped where if there are too many tables, some of them won't see the dance floor.
I was seriously considering this place, and had a tasting, the food was good!
Good luck!

It is a really nice place, especially if you are getting married during the summer so you can utilize the outdoors for cocktail hour. Also I do agree with the last person's response about the odd shaped room....we were stuck in that back corner...couldnt see the dance floor, or the announcing of the bride and groom, cake cutting etc...not fun. There was 200 people at the wedding and it was a bit squishy. Food was awesome! I got the stuffed shrimp. Cocktail hour was one of the best!

The Riviera is beautiful for a small wedding. It is simple, classy and very pretty on the inside. I went to a wedding where the ceremony and the reception were held there and it was one of the nicer weddings I've been to!

Good luck!

Went to a wedding there in July and I loved the cocktail hour - there was room enough for everyone to have a seat outside (rare!) and the views and the food were great.

Thats where I am getting married!!! It is great but, yes for a small wedding, no more then 150-160. We are doing the ceremony and CH outdoors and we just love the homey feeling we get when we have gone there. I never heard of it before until a friend of mine told me that was one of their choices, they didnt have their date and, then all of a sudden I heard about it from all different people. The food is great also!!!!

I looked at the Riviera and really liked the space. It's like an old house, there's one wedding at a time, and it's right on the water. I was really wowed by the location, but I definitely had some issues with the place.

However, I found the BM was really unprofessional. She just looked very unprofessional...and acted the same way. Many brides on here have said the same.

I went to visit, my mom visited, and my FH visited separately (we're planning from a distance and our vacation schedules conflicted). Each time, they had not yet cleaned from the party the night before (or maybe even longer)!

My main concern was really with the unprofessional nature of the staff.

Maybe this was not the experience of other girls, but definite the experience that FH, my mother, and I all had--and we all went separately!

I have actually been to 3 weddings there, and I agree the view is beautiful. But the food I was not impressed with at all. At the latest wedding this summer, no one at my table touched their entree. Also, I dont know if it was the couples choice, or just the spread of food, but the cocktail hour food was not the greatest either. But, it is a very pretty place.

Totally agree with the comment about unprofessional staff!!! Wow ...if I loved the place i wouldn't have booked based on the people I dealt with when I visited. I went to a wedding there many years ago and everything was ok except there were too many people and the ones that were stuck in that side area were not happy at all. Lovely view but you have to look at the whole picture.

I agree that the place is beautiful! My cousin had her wedding there in December ( a few years ago) and it was very nice. When FH and I were starting to look, that was the first place we went. Suddenly, some of my family members started reminding me that the food there was not so great. I didn't remember it being a problem. Anyway, when we went, it was a gorgeous summer day and they were setting up for a wedding. The view of the water was incredible! However, I felt that the BM was a little pushy. All of the summer prices were a little expensive for us and every time I would ask about off-season, she kind of brushed me off. It was the first place I went to and I got better at being firm about what I was interested in later on. However, this ended up turning us off and we figured we could not get what we wanted so we went somewhere else. Good luck!

i just got married there in oct 07. We loved eveything. our BM was michelle and she was so fun and down to easy to work with. the whole staff was very professional the day of my wedding. not a single complaint. The food was great we are still getting rave reviews from family and friends. you have to have a smaller wedding there to many people will flow over into the side where there isnt much of a view. But your other option is putting 3 tables on the dance foor in the corner thats what we did and it worked out fine. Let me know if you need any other info.. fm me.

My brother had his wedding there in January and it was still beautiful. We loved it so much that we wanted to book there. Unfortunately, it really is meant for a smaller crowd and we are planning on a 200 minimum. It is really beautiful and cozy though!

We looked at it for my sis, LOVED the outside and the elegance, but alas too small.

People were so nice there, offered us coffee and stuff on a very cold day.

I am getting married there in November and went to a friends wedding there 3 years ago. It is beautiful and the food is good. It is a very homey place. You walk in and you feel comfortable and the view is breathtaking.

We are working with Vicky and she is great. We have had no problems with them. I do not think they are unprofessional at all, in fact they were very professional and accomodating every time we've seen them. (We are there every three months dropping off checks)
