I'm brand new to the site and was wondering if anyone had any recent reviews on The Riviera in Massapequa. I am going tomorrow for a food tasting and will most likely put a deposit down...but any information before tomorrow would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: The Riviera
I had my wedding there on thursday and it was the most amazing wedding ever!! you seriously will not regret having your wedding there. the food was unbelieveable, the price was unbeatable. they treated my DH and I like king and queens. you definetely need to book there!! the cocktail hour was outside and it was the sexiest cocktail ever haha. you should use meghan as a banquet manager. if she's not available, michelle is great as well!!

Re: The Riviera
Thanks for all of the input. When we went there a couple of weeks ago we loved it. My only fear now is that we have too many people. For those of you who have had/having their weddings there...how many people did/do you have.

we're having about 100-120 max....we wanted small so it works for us perfectly...too big at the riviera means people put get behind the wall and can't see the dance floor....that's just one thing to consider....that bothered me...

We are having 125-150, whenever FH decides but, we have to only give them 100. There tables hold 12 people, so that is good. I dont see it holding 220 which is their max.

Re: The Riviera
anything more than 150 i feel would be WAYYYY To much. we had 84 including us and it was absolutely perfect. we had enough space but it didnt feel empty. i would go close with 120 than the 150. also take in consideration some people wont come. we had invited 116 and we got 82. i seriously think you should really go with the riviera. not many people get married there because they dont know much about the place or know it at all. its the best hidden gem

Re: The Riviera
That was exactly my fear. So far (without cutting the list) we have about 260. Obviously we have to cut that tremendously. We are hoping to get it down to 220 which means that only 180-200 should attend. The Riviera is still our top choice but I think it might just be too small. Any other ideas for places on the water with reasonable prices for around 200 people?!?

Re: The Riviera
Chateau La Mer, Venetian Yacht Club and Bridgeview Yacht Club are both on the water as well. If you like the syle of Riviera...check out Bridgeview. It is sooo pretty, and the food there is fantastic.

Re: The Riviera
I got married there 9/1/07. We had 160- I wouldn't suggest any more than that...it wasn't tight- but there wasn't alot of space. My dress was stepped on constantly and it is now destroyed.
Not the Riviera's fault though.
They did a pretty good job and the place was beautiful.
I will be posting my review in a few days. FM me if you want more info.
