The Riviera in Massapequa (Review)

I was a BM in a wedding on Sat-- The Riviera is really nice--the outside cocktail hour will be beautiful--because of rain this was outside(even though it wasnt raining) as for service--a few things to watch for--teh maitre de was not the greatest--my experience came from The milleridge where Steve goes above and beyond so my expectations were high My role at the reception--to make sure all details were taken care of-- well there were a few times when i had to point things out to the maitre d and she never followed up-- the mini viennese-- it ran out-- yeah to the point where the B&G didnt get what they wanted--asked for 2 things and NEVER got it-- overall the entire event was great--- would def recommend it--the food was good--not outstanding but not bad either--try as much as you can at the tasting( on my no list would be the baked clams and the chicken francese) any quesitons feel free-- I have noticed quite a few people have been asking about it Laura

Laura Thanks for the reivew. I've booked the Riviera of Massapequa for my wedding to be held on July 4th, 2002. I've heard many good things about the place and I've tasted the food too. It isn't to die for but it's decent. When you're cooking for that many it's hard to do spectacular. If anyone else has heard anything about it, I'd love to hear your comments too. Thanks! Vic
