The Royalton @ Roslyn Country Club

Anyone know anything about it?

AMAZING...

I saw you also looked at the Metropolitan..Those were our top picks. The Metropolitan was too small for us, we had 200 people

I cannot say enough good things about the Royalton. Restaurant style food (we are food snobs. We only eat at the BEST steak houses ie; Peter Lugers and Wolfgangs, we won't even eat at Mortons or Burton and Doyle which we live right near) and their steak was phenominal..We served strip steaks at our wedding..no ordinary filet mignon. FM me if you want specific details.

I just saw this lol. I posted on your Metropolitan thread. We actually had our e-party at The Club at The Metropolitan. I know you're looking for Kosher. You MUST go check out the Royalton. Tell them Allegra sent you! They know me all too well. We looked at literally 12 different places from Wading River to Manhattan, and the last place we looked (and booked) was The Royalton. We had tastings at 3 other venues, and nothing compared to the Royalton food, ambiance, everything. You get the entire mansion to yourself, which includes a bridal suite with attendant and bathroom, groom's suite with attendant and bathroom, parents' suite with attendant and bathroom, and a cigar/family room with a huge table and couches and chairs. There are also Plasma tv's in the suites and family room. Here are some of my pics! Good luck! FM me if you have more questions.

The main foyer, the ballroom lit up with our lighting, and the cigar room/family room with my bridesmaids.

FH and I LOVED the Royalton, it was definitely our favorite place. There is no set menu so you get to choose basically anything. We liked that they would get Rib Eye steaks, which is the best cut of kosher steaks. I think 5 action stations for CH. You get the whole grounds and building, which are gorgeous. If we were willing to spend that much. we would have totally gone with it. We liked it better than other synagogues or other catering halls with a kosher in-house (and those were hard to find, most places you have to bring in an outside caterer).

It was just too expensive for us, even on a Sunday. And they wouldn't let us book the whole day on Sunday (had to be Sun morning, or Sun night). They told us if no one else booked the other time slot, we could start at anytime, but we wouldn't know until close to the date.

sorry to hear that...I'm sure you'll day will be just as good.. I had a Sunday twighlight wedding there. We had the whole day.. I got there at 9 am to get ready our ceremony was at 5 the wedding ended at 10 and we stayed the night left at 10:30 the next day. We were able to negotiate a great price. Still not cheap in any way but well worth it.

That's great you were able to do the whole day! I think the day we went to look they were setting up for a twilight wedding. We only wanted to do Sunday twilight if Sat night wasn't an option. I'm still happy with my RH choice, but the Royalton is definitely a great place! I loved the grounds

My sister's wedding was there in February. Everything was wonderful.

They do require you to use one of two florists, though. If you want to use a different florist, you need to pay a vendor waiver fee.

I love the Royalton!! FH and I never went to visit it in person because they were out of our price range but I think it's absolutely gorgeous!

we're doing saturday during the day... that was the only way i could get the place that i absolutely love in the price range that was realistic (still pricey tho, but IMHO sooo worth it for all that you get). we are also food snobs, so getting to pick your own food was very important to us! i have my menu planning meeting coming up in march... can't wait! anyway, it's the best. picking the RH was the one decision in wedding planning that i never had 2nd thoughts about. the royalton was a chance meeting i set up, and it was our first RH visit - after that, we just kept comparing the other places to that. we also looked at GCM, Woodlands, CBC, and Waterview Club.

Since you're getting married in June like I did I have a recommendation.

I never wanted a carving station whether I had an indoor or outdoor cocktail hour. So we went with the Grill in the back and on the grill we had baby lamb chops, steak, and baby back ribs....it was amazing (so I heard). People were lined up at the grill. We also had the seafood bar and sushi bar but we heard amazing things about the grill.
