this post is for all the sandcastle brides of the future and the past. we are going to book the this week but it just seems their payment schedule is outrageous. they want 3/4 of the money for the hall within the first 12 months. we are not getting married until 10/2008 so that leaves over 2 years of no payments. is that crazy to anyone else but us. i would like to stretch it out maybe over the course of the two years so we still stay in contact with them instead of nothing for such a long period of time. has anybody had any experience with them? are they willing to make changes to this schedule from your experiences? everywhere else we went it was like $1000-$2000 every two months or something.any of your help would be greatly appreciated we are starting to stress about this and so is our families and our planning has only begun. thank you in advance melissa and tom.

Re: The Sand Castle
well first of all the vienesse hour was added after the final price was settled on and the price didn't change. chair covers were thrown in, the honeymoon to Greece, upstairs they have lights in the ceiling and we got those too, the two dove ice sculpture, white and red wine on the tables. fh worked at a catering hall for 11 years so he really talked them down in price and got them to include alot of these extras that they claim to usually charge for. not sure if there was anything else of the top of my head.

My SIL got everything you got also (wine, greece, seat covers, lights etc) EXCEPT the vienesse hour which she really wants. Any advice on how to get it added at no extra charge? She is getting married Jan 08 and is paying around $69 or $79 a head..I can't remember exactly how much.... Thanks!!!

we got married at the sand castle and had a great experience with them...they were wonderful to us doing the whole planning time and day of the reception was great...food and service was excellent...we also stayed at their resort in crete which is so beautiful...i strongly suggest upgrading (which you will have to pay for) a room with a private pool...that was so much fun...overall we were really pleased with them...good luck...if you have any questions fm me

Re: The Sand Castle
I just got married at the sandcastle last month. Nothing was ever mentioned about the HM to Greece. Did anyone get married there and get it thrown in afterwards. We didnt even take a HM bc we had to pay for the wedding and didnt have enough money.
