The Secret.........

OK so I had girls night last night. We grabbed some ice cream worked on a puzzle then my friend brought over this DVD she rented from net flix. Its called the secret.

Im not sure if you ever herd of it but let me tell you..... this is my new obsession! Its all about positive thinking and how you can get anything in the world you want just by thinking positive about it. I've been such a negative person latly with all the b.s. i've been through in the past few months and I've just been so down on myself. I watched this movie last night and i woke up a new person I swear!

Im not one to believe these kind of things but it makes complete sense. Im always negative and I'll give an example I went to rhode island last weekend and i didnt really want to go. I said to myself all week that its going to be the worst weekend and i shoudnt go. and sure enough it was. The mose negative throught you think the more negative things that will happen to you. Its all about the laws of attraction!

its a lot to explain but to simplify it. If you dream it and you want it, you will have it. SInce last night i've thought about all my negativity and the out come of it was all bad. And how when i really want somthing i get it and not bc im a spoiled brat lol. bc when you want somthing so bad and you keep thinking about it over and over and over you will get it there will be a way and it will happen.

Actually, I believe the movie was based on the book (which I didn't read) LOL. Maybe I'll read it now.

yes it is based on the book. the movie is like a documentry based upon the book. Def. read it or watch the movie i was freaking out at how true it is and i've been trying it. LIke stupid little things i thnk about that i wanted to happen and they are its kinda freaky but so awesome! watch the clip im watching it again now

That's kind of how I felt when reading it...like what the h*ll is this cra*p. Maybe I'll like the movie better

At first I couldn't get into it, but as it went on, I loved it. I've listened to the book on tape a lot and it's really worked for me. Just like it has for other people. For example, I had some medical issues in the past that I dealt with for over 3 years and it kept going away and coming back and going away and coming back. So after I read the Secret I just told myself, I was cured. That I was fine (because in the past I told myself 'I hope I don't get it again' and as they say...your wish is granted and I got it back lol). And now i've been completely healthy for a year. You have to believe in it to make it work for you. FH got me into it actually and I listen to again every now and then to keep it fresh in my mind.

Oh and fh laughs at me cuz I got two unexpected checks in the mail that I thought were gonna be bills the other day! One for 500 dollars, the other for 44 dollars. (cuz I overpayed homeowners insurance and I didn't know it!)

Im glad to hear im not the only one who is all about this. It just makes so much sense. I made my vision board yesterday and i've been trying to be nothing but positive. Its going to be an adjustment but its sooooooo worth it. I'm going to foxwoods on friday for my bday and i keep telling myself I will win big $$ there. I'll let you know

newlywed crashing my brother had me & my husband watch the secret...honestly i was SHOCKED that my brother was so impressed that he found this 'new' way of thinking. It's everything my church raised us up with - except without the most important part...our Lord & Savior - my man - JC ..I don't know what your religious backround is - but i was raised in a christian home..so to me, it wasn't anything new...i have always been taught/believed that you bring things on by confessing with your mouth, thoughts, etc..a simple amount of faith, prayer, calling out to God with affirmation not question... this dvd to me was just twisted faith... everything i've ever known, but replacing God with the universe/energy. hope i'm making sense..it's just my two sense & my viewpoint on it I get the jist of it...i think a lot of it holds true...my husband & i even have 'vision boards' and scrapphotos of things we want for our lives.. but i like i said, i personally put my faith in God...nothing else..
