If you don't mind me asking, how are you figuring out the size of your wedding?
Is it the size of family, friends? Budget contraints?
This is becoming such a bone of contention between FH and me.
He said if it was up to him, it would just be our immediate families (like 20 people). I want to have my friends there too (they are all excited that after 14 years, we're finally getting married).
The only thing I can come up with is making up an A list, B list and C list and putting friends and family on the A list and then co-workers on the B list.
I wish FH was just a tiny bit more social....

we're inviting 175. our minimum is 125. but defintely make lists, ie, close fam, extended fam, close friends, acquaintences, co works, parents friedns.....

The RH we chose really dictated the size for us... minimum is 140 so we need at least that many people. We have small families though, and we're not really inviting people just to invite them so I'll be happy if just around 140 show up.

Initally we wanted an intimate wedding with about 50 ppl. But it didn't work in our favor to have a small wedding at our venue as we'd pay out the nose for catering as it pretty much works on volume. So we're thinking of having maybe 150-200.

We are hoping for between 150-175, but we're inviting 200 since we know not everyone will be able to come since half of our guests are from out of state.

well at our eparty we had 60 and we are going to invite more of liek the parents frds and we are hoping to have just 100

Our minimum is 100, so were inviting 130-140

Well we have small families to begin with so that wasn't much of a concern. We just want all of our close friends and family there to celebrate with us. For us it works out to a reasonable number. If it were higher, budgeting would definitely come into play

we plan on having 180 guests...and that's mostly FH's family, i only have about 60-70.

we will probably invite about 175 people...we gauranteed 150 so that is the number I am hoping for

Mine is going to be huge. I have 14 cousins (irish) and he has about 27 All married with children. Not including aunts, uncles, sisters etc...
Were planning on appx 200 But I kinda want the big wedding ;)

I would like to keep it under 100, he wants to keep it at like 50. I was hoping that since we wanted to do a buffet brunch, it might be a little cheaper than a sit-down dinner, so maybe we could have more people.
But I have to say...I can't believe he's got no friends! LOL
My original plan was a buffet brunch but it was hard to find a place that fit 50 + guest that offer something early in the morning and with ceremony on site. We are still having a small number of guest but doing it in the afternoon.
