Do you think I can just borrow one? The Bridal Shop I am going to is charging I think like $55.
It just seems like an added expense that maybe I can save on by borrowing. I mean, am I really ever going to use it again.
What I am trying to figure out is, is it something unique (like shoes or a tiara) that I should purchase my own.
WithThisRing, where did you get your dress?

I got my dress from Valentina's bridal. I got free slip, headpiece, veil and alterations
Definatly look into borrowing one if you can. If you know of anyone who got married or even on here.
My matron lent me hers and it was going to be my 'something borrowed' but it didnt work with my dress.

Try to borrow one.. The ones I have seen are like a one size fits all draw string skirt. They are all pretty much the same some mit be a little fuller than others but that is about it. It happens that the first friend that got married got one and everyone has borrowed it from her since. I dont know that last friend that actually bought one.

Jennbaby helped me with mine. Off of ebay for the same price and I think it is one of the bext qualities out there. it is a hoop and crinoline in one. PLus it is NOT a drawstring!!!
Also, any ladies getting married in the summer, keep in mind that hoop will keep your legs airier than just a crinoline. I noticed while I was walking around in the salon my legs kept getting caught in the crinoline. And you can sit in the hoop! Just my $0.02.

If not drawstring, what is the best kind?

Fitted waist!! looked much better than the drawstring under my dress. I got a fitted A-line (two tiers of tulle) on EBAY for $29.99.
you can get the drawstring one for $24.99 from same people

I am using mine as my something borrowed. It is my FSIL's from her wedding this past Sept. It fits me perfectly and is the exact one I wanted for my dress!
My sister got hers from the commack wedding center. It think it was $40-50.

I bought mine from someone on this site for $30!!!

I need an A-line slip so I'm going to ask my MOH if I can borrow hers and then that will be my something borrowed.
