The swan Club

Anyone ever been to a wedding there already? Planning their wedding there? Wasn't what I was looking for (beach but all are WAYYYY to expensive) was really nice though.

Just had my wedding there last week. I had a great experience. They were fantastic. And I loved the grounds. If you want to see some picutures check out my album.

Edited to add: You can also run a search for the Swan Club and see other reviews. hope that helps.

Never been to a wedding there... but my own is there in 3 months! They have been very helpful, accomodating, and the gardens are gorgeous! And, by the way, I am doing a complete beachy, tropical theme there... whatever theme you want to do will work at pretty much any hall so dont let that stop you!

Re: The swan Club

We just booked our wedding there for next year. I am completely in love with the place and it's exactly what we were looking for. So far I've only been there two times (initial tour and then went back to book/sign the contract) and had a few phone conversations with them, but so far, so good - they are pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. Love them!

We went there - we didnt like it - the decor looked old - the grounds were pretty but in the upstairs room the view isnt great you see like this dead swamp. JMO the downstairs deck area was pretty but you cant use it unless you book the room that goes with it.

How did you get a beachy theme there? Me and my FH really wanted a beach wedding but at the cheapest 135 a head we had to get that idea out of our heads

look at all my albums... everythings is beach related.... from placecard frames, to invitations, to having steel drums at cocktail hour... my cardbox is made to look like buried treasure... my cp's are beach themed birdhouses with mini lanterns on each side and palm leaves on the table... my table #'s were suppossed to be names of islands but im no longer doing that.... my menus have starfish on them... my colors are a greenish teal to look like the ocean.... my favors are rum cakes... the list goes on n on LOL

if you travel to the very far end of the property, it can somtimes have that stagnant water smell to it... im guessing thats the 'swamp' shes referring to.... they hide the bay really well with tall bushes/trees... i dont remember which it was

Ivyqueenz and I had our weddings there on 4/26. They did a great job with organizing, herding everyone, great food - esp. CH and taking care of the bride & groom! Would definitely recommend. FM if you need details. Will post teaser pics in a few minute to my portfolio.

My thoughts exactly Mrs. Mazz!

Opinions are always appreciated, but where a slam is concerned, back channel via FM is most appropriate.

Re: The swan Club

They just redid the Contessa Room, completely redid. They had the walls completely down, I was a little scared for IvyQueenz.

Don't know if this is an option, not beachy but waterfront - Water's Edge in LIC, Queens.
