Good trick a friend taught me:

I think I read somewhere that another technique is to take one bite and then pour salt all over the rest. That would not work for me, because I'd use a spatula for my 'one bite'.

Re: The temptation
Temptation s*cks!!
When I'm tempted to eat something really bad for me...I try to substitute it with something sweet and a little more realistic. I love the hundred calorie cupcakes...not exactly healthy, but at least its a healthy portion!

Re: The temptation
You gotta throw it out immediately. Or put something nasty all over it, ie: water, salt, pepper, ketchup, etc.

Re: The temptation
Does anyone remember the Sex in the City episode where Miranda has what is left of a whole chocolate cake on a plate, and she is eating it with a fork, then she throws it in the garbage because she is disgusted with herself. Like two minutes later, she picks it out of the garbage and starts eating it again..then she gets disgusted with herself again and squirts dishwashing soap all over it so she doesnt pick it out of the garbage and eat it again.
I just thought of this when I read about the cake!!
Destroy and discard!!!!!!
