The truth about GOBO pricing...

I will not say the DJ companies name but last week I went to a DJ visit...he was so nice and honest and told me he refuses to sell Gobo's to his clients. I said 'we can't have our names in lights?' He said oh you can and I will do it for you but you can order the GOBO yourself online. I asked why. he said that DJ's charge like $200-400 for this service and guess what? The little tiny metal gobo that light projects through that looks huge costs $50-$60 online!! What a rip off. I cant believe that they are marking it up like 400% and making a profit on that when we can just order it ourselves. I mean I do believe it and I know people order it but I will be ordering mine online thanks!! Saved me $300!! Just look up custom wedding gobos and you will find some great deals on them...FM me for for more info if you can find a good company!

Mine cost an extra $105 I believe, and my DJ framed it for us and gave it to us after the wedding. I have it in my curio cabinet and I love it. Just another cute, personal touch.

Re: The truth about GOBO pricing...

Oh no..the digital file is to use as monograms on stationary and stuff. A metal or steel gobo is what DJ's use...you have to ask your dj what kind of projector you have and then you can look online...google 'custom wedding gobos' and it will come up. Theyw ill ask you what kind of projector, you pick a template and bam you have a personalized gobo light for your wedding for $50-$60!!
