that happened to me. Hubby did not want one when I was ready,a nd I did NOT push him at all. He finally turned around and was ready. Enjoy yourselves, and take a few vacations, I see you just got married. Enjoy being married and grow together.

I have to agree with Diane. You just got married. Give it some time. Your DH may need some time to adjust to married life first.
I will be married 2 years this Nov and having that time alone has been great! Now we are settled in a house and went on some great trips. Having a baby seem to change things.
You are young so I would be patient.

I am totally in the same boat as you so I know how you feel. I am 110% ready and DH is not - he wants to wait at least another year to start TTC. Have you tried to set a timeframe with him that you could both be happy with?

Yes Emily7....we had originally said about 2 yrs (that was before we got married) and now we've updated it to when we have our own home we would discuss it again to see where each of us stands.
We do want our time together as a married couple, but I also don't want to have my kids too far into my 30's....I have my reasons for that.

Yeah - we originally said next summer and I am just not happy with that. DH is 9 years older than me and I think it is time. Now to convince him ...

I'm in the same boat. I want to start trying now, since I'm in my 30's, and DH wants to wait and enjoy being married first. Although I respect that and want that alone time as well, I also don't want to be pregnant at 38 years old. We definitely want more than one too. We've said we would start trying before the end of the year, and I'm comfortable with that. I'd rather have us both on board and wanting the same thing, than me feeling as if I had to pressure him. Patience..... you're so young, don't worry

hang in there...I questioned FH about it before we talked marriage to make sure we were on the same page...I had some losses so I didnt want to wait, regardless of our situation, so we are trying right after the wedding....did your DH tell you up front how he felt about the timing with having kids?

Im in the same boat, its a bit hard and Im just trying to tell my self that waiting for us both to be ready is the best thing for our marriage but it is still sooo hard, Thank God Im young enough that waiting isnt an issue physically.
