So RSVPs are due at the end of the week and I facebook 'emailed' the friends who's rsvps we were missing just to remind them to send them over.
i get this response just now:
I really don't know what's going on that far ahead. If I MUST decide now, put us as a no. But I won't know for a while yet.
um ... what the heck does that even mean?! i knew she wasn't necessarily going to make it because it was her mom's bday (who lives upstate) but comeon - that's kind of an obnoxious response, IMO
oh well, at least we have 2 more no's

Re: the verbal RSVP i just got
Are you kidding me? I would just put her as a no and leave it at that. If she gets back to you and says yes after your response date I would say 'sorry I already have you as a no' Thats it!

That response is ridiculous. I'd mark her down as a NO. Anyone who cannot respond appropriately is not worthy enough to be at the most important say of your life!!! I would respond this way 'Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. You will be missed.', so that she understands that she cannot just change her mind if she feels like it.

wow
has she never been to a wedding before?! anyone who has would know that you need to decide if your going in advance...you can't just decide that day if you feel like showing up

Re: the verbal RSVP i just got
that's so rediculous. do you think she said that purposely just to annoy you? bc that's a really odd answer - unless she's never been to a wedding before, which seems unlikely. regardless, she's a no.

when she gets married she'll understand...until people go through the wedding process, i don't think they realize how important these things are to a bride!
